Steampunk seems to be a growing trend in papercrafting right now. I’ve noticed that several paper companies are offering papers, diecuts and books using this theme. Barb Barton created this mini album from a kit by Quick Quotes. We sold most of the kits at the Gettysburg SDV, but still have a few to offer at our online store. The finished book measures 9″x12″. It has canvas covers and chipboard pages. Everything you need is included in the kit( papers, ribbons, brads, diecuts, printed words). What an ideal way to feature heritage type photos as well as “manly” memories. The book is ribbon bound and has pockets, tags and frames on the inside. You add the adhesive, the photos, and the LOVE!

We had so much fun last weekend at the Gettysburg Scrappers Dream Vacation. Thanks to those who supported our booth. It was great to see old friends and also to make some new friends. We’ll see you all at the Hagerstown SDV in August.
We wanted to make a baby layout using our new Stampendous stamps, but we didn’t get quite done. Here are half of them. Barb Barton designed these. Really CUTE! We thought we would make a title with these tags and spell out the word “BABY”. Both the lion and elephant are colored with Copic markers. The stamps are Stampendous cling stamps, ink is Memento, tags are our own die cuts from Accucut, ribbon from Morex. The lace doilies and other trims are from Barb’s stash. We still have to make the “A” and “Y” tags with the giraffe and zebra. You can purchase most of these items at www.stampexpressstore.com. The zebra stamp will be coming later.

Ken took a class at the trade show last week from Kaiser Kraft a company from Australia. He made this adorable birdhouse from wood and paper. We are selling the kit at the Gettysburg SDV this weekend. Also we will give away one kit for a door prize. If there are any kits left after that, they will be for sale on our website. What a great item to bring “spring” into your home decor. And, they are fun to make. Must be easy too if Ken could do it!
We will be offering other kits at our online store as soon as they come in. We are also working on a kit of the month club starting in April. Be sure to sign up early for these. They will go quickly.

Stampendous cling stamps have arrived at our online store www.stampexpressstore.com. We used them for one of the classes we’re doing for the PB Ink trade show in York this weekend. For wonderful detailed images that stamp clearly with minimum pressure, these are excellent. Just be sure to leave the thin plastic sheet on them, for that’s what makes them stick to your acrylic block. Please read the directions when you get them. You will be amazed at how clearly these images stamp!
The hollyhock flower is quite large and needs an extra large block. It’s ideal for a scrapbook page as we have shown. If used on a card, it needs to be 5″x7″. We colored with Irojiten pencils, since that was what our class was featuring. But, you could color with Copic markers, prismacolor pencils, watercolor pencils and blender pen. or whatever your favorites are.
Again we used Morex ribbons, Petaloo flowers, and designer papers from Fancy Pants. These have not yet arrived at our store. Cardstock is our own quality cardstock. Word stamps are from Just Rite.
Get inspired—March is national craft month. Be creative!
