We recently celebrated my parent’s 75th wedding anniversary at Ocean City, NJ. We had 43 family members staying in 3 different houses, and felt we better label the rooms so they’d know where to go. I made some door hangers with their names and a seashore theme. Then when they left they could take their hanger for a souvenir. I used Stamp Express quality cardstock as a base and decorated with BoBunny designer paper. The stamps are Impression Obsession and colors are Copic. I printed the names on the computer and layered on top. You can order blank door hangers from our on-line store. They make a fun project for kids to craft this summer. If you want assorted colors just e-mail. I’ll have more summer ideas for kids and adults in future weeks. Stay tuned.

Seashore Door Hanger
She sells seashells by the seashore. This is the theme for a beach motif we have planned for the Hagerstown SDV in August. The seashell stamp is from JustRite and colored with Copic markers. The ovals are cut out with Nestabilities from Spellbinders. The background paper is from BoBunny while the plain cardstocks are the Stamp Express quality cardstock. I made the flourishes by diecutting labels from Spellbinders and then cutting them in half. I glued one half to each side of the larger layered pieces. Come to the show and do this project as a FREE make it/ take/it. Learn how to color with Copics!

8X8 Seashell page
I was so excited to use the NEW BoBunny designer paper with the patriotic theme. I made a birthday card for my brother-in-law with a masculine look. I used Navy quality cardstock for the card base. The layer is the designer paper from BoBunny. I cut the pennants myself and stamped with an alphabet set from Impression Obsession. ( make a pattern for the pennant so they all come out the same.) After stringing the penants across the top of the card, I added a layered sailboat image from JustRite. This was colored with Copic markers and cut out with Nestabilities. To finish it off I handcut photo corners layered and accented with a blue button. Inside I put a white piece of cardstock with Happy Birthday and some seagulls all in blue ink. I hope he enjoys it! Ahoy Birthday Card
As summer approaches and you head to the beach, take along some cards to send home. Or use these on a scrapbook page with a seaside photo inside. Stamp Express now has seashell cards by the package at the on-line store. And many stamp companies have nautical images to feature on the front. On the blue card I used BoBunny designer paper with a stamped and cut out image from Mini Magnolia stamps. I colored with Copic markers, then added a button and bow. The words are from Impression Obsession.
On the cream colored card I distressed the edges a tiny bit with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then I layered the JustRite image on diecuts from the Nestabilities ovals. The image was colored with Copic markers. Seagulls are from Impression Obsession and a twine knot finishes the look. You could embellish with a small shell you find on the beach, or glue some real sand around the edges. Everyone will wish they were there having fun in the sun with you.

Splish Splash Shell Card

Beach Shell Card
It’s the good old summertime. We’re thinking sand dunes, beaches, salty air, shells, sea breezes, and fun in the sun! When this shell die came in we thought it would make a great summertime card, minibook, or page embellishment. Here are two ideas. The card is on our free make it/ take it table at the store this week. The minibook will be a free project at the Scrappers Dream Vacation in CampHill at the end of the month. The die is for the Mark IV Accucut diecut machine. If you buy your paper from us you can use our machine and die free of charge.
